PROBLEM
The company managed shifts and employee timesheets through Excel sheets. This created systemic problems in calculations, synchronization, and manager training.
PRODUCT GOALS AND SUCCESS CRITERIA
Move operational processes from Excel into a web interface. Reduce calculation errors and shorten the time needed to close a site timesheet.
POST-LAUNCH METRICS
Stakeholders kept shift schedules and timesheets in different files and reconciled them manually. I combined both contexts into one interface: the manager sees the plan and enters actual data in one place.
The Side Panel lets managers edit employee data without leaving the table or losing the context of the current site.
Make a change and the system recalculates payroll automatically. The accountant receives the final export without manually checking each row.
Each site and client can have unique rates and roles. This is moved into settings with a simple editor, without custom development for each client.
DESIGN STAGE OUTCOMES
